Elections 2004
Well, the elections are over and America has decided - George W. Bush will get another term. I have been a Kerry supporter all along and am very proud of the guy. He is courageous, honorable, and caring. I get a little emotional when I think about the positives of having John Kerry as the president. Too bad that America will not have him as the next President. That's democracy. I may disagree with 52% of the people but have to respect their choice.
Its time to move on. I do have some expectations from President Bush:
- Changes in the cabinet - Please Mr. President, lose Rumsfeld now. Lose Condeleza Rice now. And for god's sake get rid of John Ashcroft.
- Be respectful of the UN - Tough one to ask for. UN has been a lame duck for some time now but we do not have a good alternative. Mr. Bush, don't let the UN collapse.
- Less ideology and more pragmatism - Try to understand root causes of terrorism and please get it right.
- Supreme Court appointments - You will have a great opportunity to make critical decisions. Don't be a petty partisan on the appointments.
- Reduce the deficit PLEASE!!!
